FAQs

When it comes to transporting your pets, we offer a comprehensive service that includes both road and air transport options. Our fleet consists of air-conditioned vans, ensuring a comfortable environment for your furry companions. The air-conditioning system operates independently of the vehicle’s engine, guaranteeing a constant and optimal temperature even when the vehicle is stationary.

Within our fleet, each vehicle is equipped with a secure and hygienic setup to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets throughout the journey. We prioritise cleanliness and provide access to clean filtered drinking water for your pets at all times. Additionally, our staff takes care of feeding your pets during transit, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

By offering a combination of road and air transport, along with our commitment to secure, hygienic, and comfortable conditions, we aim to provide the best possible transportation experience for your beloved pets.

You can transport your puppy or kitten at different ages depending on the mode of transportation and specific airline requirements. For road transport, we accept puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age, provided they have received their first vaccination and have been treated for internal and external parasites.

If you’re considering air travel, Virgin Airlines permits the transportation of puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age, except for brachycephalic breeds, which must be at least 12 weeks old.

On the other hand, Qantas Airlines requires puppies and kittens to be at least 12 weeks of age for flights.

Please note that these age restrictions are subject to airline policies and may vary. It’s always best to check with the specific airline you plan to travel with for their exact age requirements and any additional guidelines they may have.

At our company, we prioritise the safety and well-being of your young pets, ensuring they meet the necessary age and health requirements before transporting them.

Flights with Qantas Airlines must be 12 weeks of age.

All animals will travel in their own cage, but will still be able to see other animals next to them. This helps them to remain calm. The only exception to this is for puppies from the same the litter at the discretion of the breeder.

We understand that as a pet owner, you may have concerns and would like to stay updated on your pet’s well-being during transport. To address this, we have implemented a reliable communication system.

Prior to the transport, we send all our customers a text or email that includes important details such as the collection and delivery schedule, as well as the driver’s phone number. However, we kindly request that you refrain from contacting the driver unless it is absolutely necessary, as they are focused on driving safely and attending to the animals in their care.

To provide you with peace of mind, our vehicles are equipped with live tracking capabilities. This means that you can monitor your pet’s journey in real-time. Additionally, our team ensures that your pet is scanned upon collection, providing proof of receipt. Likewise, upon arrival at the destination, your pet will be scanned again, and we will provide you with proof of delivery.

While we understand your desire to receive photos of your pet during transport, we ask that you kindly refrain from requesting this from the driver. Their main priority is to ensure the safe and timely transportation of all the animals in their care, and taking photos may disrupt their focus.

Rest assured that we prioritise the well-being of your pet throughout the entire transport process and aim to provide you with reliable updates and proof of delivery.

At Azzabern Animal Transport Pty Ltd, we understand the unique needs and considerations when it comes to brachycephalic breeds. As owners, we have personal experience with these breeds, and one of us even breeds them. Rest assured, we are well-equipped to handle their transportation with utmost care.

For road transport, our vehicles have been specially set up with the well-being of brachycephalic breeds in mind. These vehicles are equipped with constant air conditioning that runs even when the vehicle is turned off. This ensures a comfortable and safe environment for your brachycephalic dog throughout the journey.

When it comes to domestic flights within Australia, we have obtained the necessary approvals to transport brachycephalic breeds. However, it’s important to note that both airlines require the dogs to be at least 12 weeks old before they can fly. We adhere to these guidelines to prioritise the health and safety of your pet.

In addition, we are also able to transport brachycephalic breeds internationally. Our expertise and experience in handling these breeds extend to international flights, ensuring their well-being during the entire transport process.

At Azzabern Animal Transport Pty Ltd, we take pride in providing specialised and reliable transportation services for brachycephalic breeds. We prioritise their comfort, safety, and specific needs throughout the journey, whether it’s through road transport or approved flights within Australia or internationally.

At Azzabern Animal Transport Pty Ltd, we prioritise the safety, happiness, and health of your dog during transportation. We understand the importance of providing comprehensive insurance coverage for your peace of mind.

In addition to the standard vehicle and business insurances that we have in place, we have taken the extra step to ensure that we are covered by Animal Transit Insurance. This specialised coverage specifically addresses the needs and potential risks associated with transporting animals.

While we strive to do everything possible to ensure your dog’s well-being, we highly recommend and expect every dog owner to purchase their own Pet Insurance Cover. Having your own pet insurance ensures that your dog is protected in case of any unexpected incidents or health issues that may arise during transportation or at any other time.

By having both our own insurance coverage and encouraging dog owners to have their own pet insurance, we aim to provide comprehensive protection for your beloved pets. Rest assured that we take the necessary measures to safeguard their safety and prioritise their overall well-being throughout the transportation process.

With our Live, Real Time Dog Tracking system, we provide you with a seamless and transparent experience throughout the transportation process. Here’s how it works:

Once we have scheduled your pickup or delivery, we will immediately provide you with a tracking link. This link allows you to access real-time updates on our location, estimated arrival times, and even watch live as we approach your scheduled meeting point.

As your scheduled run approaches and your driver is en route, our Driver app will automatically send a notification to your phone. This notification serves as a convenient reminder and ensures that you stay informed throughout the journey.

For your added convenience, we will also send another tracking link directly to your phone. This way, you can easily access the real-time tracking information without any hassle.

By providing you with these tracking features, we aim to give you peace of mind and keep you well-informed about the progress of your dog’s transportation. We prioritise transparency and strive to make the tracking process as seamless and user-friendly as possible.

Certainly! We understand the importance of ensuring a smooth transition for your new puppy and can arrange for a puppy pack delivery. Here’s how it works:

Road Transport: We offer the option to deliver a puppy pack for you during road transport. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide this service for air transport.

Packaging Requirements: To facilitate the delivery of the puppy pack, we ask that it be prepared in a zip-up cooler bag. On the top of the bag, please write the puppy’s name, microchip number, and the new owner’s name. This ensures clear identification and easy handling of the puppy pack during transportation.

By availing our puppy pack delivery service, you can rest assured that all necessary items for your puppy’s well-being and comfort will be safely transported to their destination. Please note that this service is available for road transport only, as air transport has specific regulations and limitations.

At our company, we strive to accommodate your needs and provide a comprehensive service that goes beyond the transportation of your puppy. We understand the importance of a puppy pack in ensuring a smooth transition for your new furry family member, and we are here to assist you in every way possible.

When it comes to traveling with your puppy, the policy regarding blankets or toys may vary depending on the mode of transportation. Here’s how we handle this:

Air Travel: Unfortunately, airline policies generally do not allow for blankets or toys to be placed in the enclosure during air travel. This is in accordance with airline regulations, which prioritise safety and adherence to specific guidelines.

Road Transport: For road transport, we understand that having familiar items such as a blanket or toy can provide comfort to young dogs. Therefore, we do allow these items to be placed in the same enclosure as your puppy. However, we want to emphasise that due to sanitary reasons, it may not be ideal to include these items. After a possible two-day journey, there is a possibility that the items can become soiled and may not allow for a thorough and frequent cleaning of the enclosure. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that your puppy stays happy, comfortable, and clean throughout the journey.

While we strive to accommodate your puppy’s comfort, we also prioritise maintaining a clean and hygienic environment to ensure their well-being. If you have specific concerns or preferences regarding your puppy’s belongings, we encourage you to discuss them with us so we can find the best solution that aligns with the transport conditions and your puppy’s needs.

At our company, we aim to strike a balance between providing a safe, comfortable journey for your puppy and maintaining a sanitary environment during transportation.

When it comes to the well-being of pets traveling on road transport, we prioritise their safety and comfort throughout the journey, even during nighttime. Here’s how we manage pets during nighttime:

  1. Secure and Monitored Environment: Once the pets have had their dinner and toileting needs attended to, the van is securely locked. Our vehicles are equipped with security measures such as alarms and cameras to ensure the safety of the pets.
  2. Air Conditioning and Power: The air-conditioning system is switched over to the off-grid system or connected to a power source, depending on the circumstances. This ensures a comfortable environment for the pets, maintaining an optimal temperature throughout the night.
  3. Location of the Vehicle: The vehicle is parked either on private property or in close proximity to the driver’s accommodation. This allows for convenient monitoring and accessibility during the night.

It’s important to note that our drivers do not sleep in the vehicles. This is a part of our driver fatigue management protocol, as ensuring the rest and well-being of our drivers is crucial for safe transportation. Adequate rest for the drivers is essential to maintain their alertness and ensure safe driving conditions.

During the journey, we do not allow animals to have unsupervised access to food or chews, especially while the vehicle is in motion. This is done to prioritise the health and safety of the pets, as eating or chewing while the vehicle is moving can pose a potential health hazard.

At our company, we are committed to providing a secure, comfortable, and safe environment for your pets during road transport, including during nighttime. Their well-being and safety are our top priorities throughout the entire journey.

Driver fatigue is a serious concern when it comes to pet transportation, and we take proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our drivers. Here’s how we manage driver fatigue:

  1. Scheduled Rest Days: Our drivers follow a strict schedule that includes mandatory rest days. They are only allowed to drive for two consecutive days and must have a minimum of one day off before resuming their driving duties. This ensures that our drivers have sufficient time to rest and recharge, reducing the risk of fatigue-related issues.
  2. Top-of-the-Range Vehicles: Our vehicles are equipped with the latest safety features and driver assistance systems. These advanced technologies serve as an additional layer of protection, helping to prevent accidents and mitigate risks on the road.
  3. Additional Drivers for Longer Routes: For routes that extend beyond two days, we employ a two-driver system. A second vehicle and driver are utilised to complete the leg, ensuring that each driver has sufficient rest time between shifts. This approach allows us to maintain driver alertness and reduce the chances of fatigue-related incidents.

By implementing these measures, we prioritise driver safety and ensure that our drivers are well-rested and capable of providing the highest level of service during pet transportation. We understand the importance of managing driver fatigue to uphold the safety of both our drivers and the pets in their care.

Yes we do, in all of our vehicles. Pups are not only scanned on and off they also have photos taken along with their belongings and this is sent to both the sender and receiver on collection and delivery.

When it comes to the cost of pet transport, we believe in fairness and transparency. For road transport, we do not discriminate based on the size of your pet. All pets, regardless of their size, are charged the same price for the same trip. Our pricing structure is based on the zones traveled, ensuring consistency and equality. You can find a pricing guide on our website to get a general idea of the costs involved. For an accurate and personalised price quote, we recommend contacting us via our quote request form. This allows us to gather specific details about your transportation needs and provide you with a tailored cost estimate.

For air transport, the pricing is determined based on factors such as the total weight of the pet, the leg charge rate, and the size of the airline container required. As each pet’s transportation requirements may vary, it is best to reach out to us directly to discuss the specific details of your pet’s journey. We will be able to provide you with the relevant pricing information based on your pet’s individual needs.

At our company, we strive to offer competitive and transparent pricing for pet transport, ensuring that you receive the best value for your investment. Feel free to contact us for a personalised price quote and further information about our services.
