FAQs
When it comes to transporting your pets, we offer a comprehensive service that includes both road and air transport options. Our fleet consists of air-conditioned vans, ensuring a comfortable environment for your furry companions. The air-conditioning system operates independently of the vehicle’s engine, guaranteeing a constant and optimal temperature even when the vehicle is stationary.
Within our fleet, each vehicle is equipped with a secure and hygienic setup to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets throughout the journey. We prioritise cleanliness and provide access to clean filtered drinking water for your pets at all times. Additionally, our staff takes care of feeding your pets during transit, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
By offering a combination of road and air transport, along with our commitment to secure, hygienic, and comfortable conditions, we aim to provide the best possible transportation experience for your beloved pets.
You can transport your puppy or kitten at different ages depending on the mode of transportation and specific airline requirements. For road transport, we accept puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age, provided they have received their first vaccination and have been treated for internal and external parasites.
If you’re considering air travel, Virgin Airlines permits the transportation of puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age, except for brachycephalic breeds, which must be at least 12 weeks old.
On the other hand, Qantas Airlines requires puppies and kittens to be at least 12 weeks of age for flights.
Please note that these age restrictions are subject to airline policies and may vary. It’s always best to check with the specific airline you plan to travel with for their exact age requirements and any additional guidelines they may have.
At our company, we prioritise the safety and well-being of your young pets, ensuring they meet the necessary age and health requirements before transporting them.
Flights with Qantas Airlines must be 12 weeks of age.
All animals will travel in their own cage, but will still be able to see other animals next to them. This helps them to remain calm. The only exception to this is for puppies from the same the litter at the discretion of the breeder.
At A Pet Transport Pty Ltd, we understand the unique needs and considerations when it comes to brachycephalic breeds. As owners, we have personal experience with these breeds, and one of us even breeds them. Rest assured, we are well-equipped to handle their transportation with utmost care.
When it comes to domestic flights within Australia, we have obtained the necessary approvals to transport brachycephalic breeds. However, it’s important to note that both airlines require the dogs to be at least 12 weeks old before they can fly. We adhere to these guidelines to prioritise the health and safety of your pet.
In addition, we are also able to transport brachycephalic breeds internationally. Our expertise and experience in handling these breeds extend to international flights, ensuring their well-being during the entire transport process.
At A Pet Transport Pty Ltd, we take pride in providing specialised and reliable transportation services for brachycephalic breeds. We prioritise their comfort, safety, and specific needs throughout the journey, whether it’s through road transport or approved flights within Australia or internationally.
At A Pet Transport Pty Ltd, we prioritise the safety, happiness, and health of your dog during transportation. We understand the importance of providing comprehensive insurance coverage for your peace of mind.
In addition to the standard vehicle and business insurances that we have in place, we have taken the extra step to ensure that we are covered by Animal Transit Insurance. This specialised coverage specifically addresses the needs and potential risks associated with transporting animals.
While we strive to do everything possible to ensure your dog’s well-being, we highly recommend and expect every dog owner to purchase their own Pet Insurance Cover. Having your own pet insurance ensures that your dog is protected in case of any unexpected incidents or health issues that may arise during transportation or at any other time.
By having both our own insurance coverage and encouraging dog owners to have their own pet insurance, we aim to provide comprehensive protection for your beloved pets. Rest assured that we take the necessary measures to safeguard their safety and prioritise their overall well-being throughout the transportation process.
When it comes to traveling with your puppy, the policy regarding blankets or toys may vary depending on the mode of transportation. Here’s how we handle this:
Air Travel: Unfortunately, airline policies generally do not allow for blankets or toys to be placed in the enclosure during air travel. This is in accordance with airline regulations, which prioritise safety and adherence to specific guidelines.
While we strive to accommodate your puppy’s comfort, we also prioritise maintaining a clean and hygienic environment to ensure their well-being. If you have specific concerns or preferences regarding your puppy’s belongings, we encourage you to discuss them with us so we can find the best solution that aligns with the transport conditions and your puppy’s needs.
At our company, we aim to strike a balance between providing a safe, comfortable journey for your puppy and maintaining a sanitary environment during transportation.
Yes we do, in all of our vehicles. Pups are not only scanned on and off they also have photos taken along with their belongings and this is sent to both the sender and receiver on collection and delivery.
When it comes to the cost of pet transport, we believe in fairness and transparency.
For air transport, the pricing is determined based on factors such as the total weight of the pet, the leg charge rate, and the size of the airline container required. As each pet’s transportation requirements may vary, it is best to reach out to us directly to discuss the specific details of your pet’s journey. We will be able to provide you with the relevant pricing information based on your pet’s individual needs.
At our company, we strive to offer competitive and transparent pricing for pet transport, ensuring that you receive the best value for your investment. Feel free to contact us for a personalised price quote and further information about our services.
